Islamabad: The results of the general elections held on February 8 in Pakistan have been announced. Imran Khan's party has got the maximum number of seats. However, despite being the largest party, Imran Khan will play the role of the opposition. According to news agency PTI, the party of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to sit in the opposition in Parliament. He has taken this decision after attempts to form a new government in Pakistan failed. No party has majority in Pakistan Let us tell you that after no party got an absolute majority in the elections held on February 8 in Pakistan, major political parties have intensified their efforts to form the government. Independent candidates backed by Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party dominated the election results, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz claimed they had enough numbers to form a government. Imran Khan's party will sit in the opposition PTI leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif announced on Friday that following the directives of PTI founder Imran Khan, the party has decided to sit in the opposition in key states like the Center and Punjab. Earlier, Imran Khan's party had announced Umar Ayub Khan as the candidate for the post of Prime Minister and Aslam Iqbal as the candidate for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab, but now PTI has decided to sit in the opposition. PTI claims PTI leader Mohammad Ali Saif said that the party has decided to sit in the opposition at the center and in Punjab on the instructions of Imran Khan. He said that we decided to sit in the opposition despite the fact that if we had got the seats according to our votes and the results had not changed, today we would probably be in the center with 180 seats. We have evidence that our candidates have won.
