Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced it on June 27. Until July 16, 2023, H-1B Specialty Occupation Visa holders in the US and accompanying immediate family members will be eligible to apply to come to Canada.' A work permit will be available for a period of up to three years Under the new decision issued by the Government of Canada, approved applicants will be given open work permits for a period of up to three years. "US visa holders will be able to work for almost any employer anywhere in Canada," the ministry's release said.
